[It was one of the very few times Riku had gotten any sleep.

It was also the day that zombie fish decided to rise on up from the ground like some sort of twist to song lyrics.

So there is a very disgruntled looking Riku, a couple scrapes crossing his face here and there.]

I'd invite everyone over for an old-fashioned fish fry, but I'm afraid even an islander can't salvage this bunch of rancid meat.

[...Was he kidding? It's hard to tell with that poker face before the feed cuts. H-hopefully that wasn't a flash of gold the viewer saw behind a sliced bit of blindfold.]

[Riku can probably be found in various parts of the city, but whether he appears to be himself or another has yet to be seen.]

Alright. [And he's still there, doing his best to limit his own darkness usage. But when one sneaks up on him, he can't help the fear causing another flare up that's dispensed in the next Dark Impulse.]

[And here he comes, charging in with a Mazio and frying a few of the nearest fish monsters.]

Yeah, I'm fine.

[...No, he isn't. If the haphazard positioning of the blindfold showing a flicker of gold in his irises and the fact he just winced after firing another Impulse.]

[Yeah. He doesn't look convinced. He casts a Prayer on Riku - full healing, yay! - and fires off a few more lightning spells at the nearby monsters.]

You look like you need a break.

I've looked worse. [However, he does fire off only a few more blasts of Darkness before he's forced to sit back a moment, shaking his head.]

[Lightning seems to be working pretty well, but it's a little boring, so he rushes in and grabs one by a boney arm, tossing it into its fellow fish monsters. One tries to grab him from behind, and he whirls around, punching it in the ribcage and to the ground with a sickening crunch. He steps back, eyes tinged slightly red as he turns back towards Riku.]

[He notices that tinge; he notices it all too well. It's almost the same aura he gets because of his own problems, but he does his best not to recall the name--the true name. Riku is fed up with being practically useless, so he removes the blindfold and pockets it, summoning the blade once more. He doesn't make a sound, just nods to Katsu before bending down and mouthing "darkness."

He's suddenly disappeared, slicing a monster in half and ignoring the stabbing pain in his chest as well as any changes sin outward appearances. He had a friend here; he wasn't about to let them get hurt because of him.]

[He blinks, watching Riku vanish from view, and then turns around, splitting into four images of himself, each running for a monster and grabbing it, slamming it into the ground, a wall, ripping it apart, whatever's most convenient.]

[He ignores the pounding in his head, in his blood. He can't let it use him - he has to use it.]
