6th Dawn ✯ Realized phantoms and a lone heart [Video]
//UNLOCKED//
[The feed clicks on to show Riku, curled up in his bed and staring out at something, or perhaps someone off camera. He seems composed in the mask and fancy clothes, but underneath that he's as pale as the sheets on the bed he shares with Sora and Kairi.]
I tolerated the crap you gave us all on Halloween, but... this?
[He tenses, as though whatever's off camera just hit a sore spot in his heart.]
...Screw you, Vatheon. Screw. You.
Where's my blindfold when I need it...?
[The feed seems to click off...]
//LOCKED TO TERRA//
...I'm ready to begin. Not sure about you, but I could use the distraction right now.
//LOCKED TO ROXAS AND XION//
I heard about your friend... How are you two holding up?
//LOCKED TO VANITAS//
... Probably would be good to take a break from practicing wielding the darkness until this stupid illusion fades, too. Did Xehanort always pontificate at length back then?

[He knows this from experience... his energy still hasn't fully returned, nor has his ribs stopped hurting from when he sparred with Vanitas after the last incident.]

[She's not a warrior, although she can throw a wrench pretty hard, but she'll be sure to avoid the forest at night.]
no subject
[Good. Not only does that keep her safe from the others, but from himself and Vanitas while they're sparring.]
[And guess who taps on her shoulder?]
no subject
Hello. [There were streaks down her face, where here tears had fallen. If she had known Riku better, she may have hugged the man, but she was able to restrain herself. After seeing her parents, it was nice to know that someone was reality. She hoped that he didn't notice, but she was shivering slightly.]
no subject
You alright?
[Too late, he noticed. Though it's completely understandable, considering.]
no subject
I guess so..
[She tries to calm her shivering but she can't.]

[And at least, in a twisted sense, she'd be able to spend the holiday with family members.]
no subject
If that's what it took, she would rather enjoy the holidays by herself.]

[So he gives her a faint and reassuring smile, willing Xehanort to shut up for just a moment. "You think that by playing 'nice' you will distance yourself from the Dark- my shadow? Do not be a simple-minded fool, boy-" ...Thanks God for a black mage mother illusion casting a Firaga spell on him.]

She hears the other's voice and stares up at Riku. More tears fill her eyes but these are for him. To have something chasing you, saying mean things like is just horrible. She reaches forward to hug him.]
no subject
His gaze back into her eyes is one of indifference, for if this is all the apparition can come up with... he's off to a horrid start. He'll allow the hug, and wrap an arm around her as well since he can see hers as well. "Can't you say anything nice at all, Xehanort?" Came the mother's voice, "Leave my son be!" A faint smile crosses Riku's lips.]
If that's all 'he' can say... then the apparition obviously doesn't know the me, now.

What he's saying is worse enough.
no subject
His mother being there was an added bonus.]
The real him was capable of much worse, trust me.
[He's going to casually let go, slipping the pack of tissues into Winry's hand in doing so.]
no subject
Well it's not right. You're a good man and he has no right saying those mean things about you.
[She steps backwards as he lets go her and she smiles as he places the pack of tissues in her hand.]
Thank you and sorry.
no subject
But since all he can do is run his mouth, I'm not worried.
Don't worry about it.
[He nods faintly, placing a hand in his pocket to rub a thumb and finger over his Keychain. It's just a small reminder of how far he's come since that day.]
Let's find a way to cheer you up. [Hey, maybe they'd find a store she could find parts to create some automail?]
no subject
[She smiles slightly.]
[She shakes her head slightly.] I think you're the one who needs cheering up. [She turns and looks at her parents.] I almost wish that they would speak, but if its like yours, then I'm glad that they don't. I just wish that I could touch them one last time.

The fool has forgotten that I derive my strength from the past. Some points are painful, yes, but I wouldn't be me if it hadn't occurred.
[What "it" was... he wouldn't say. Not yet. He smirks faintly.] Last I checked, I wasn't the one crying. [A faint pat on the shoulder, and Winry would more than likely have a glimpse of the two apparitions having a stare off.]
They'd probably only have good words for you, Winry, but I agree. I wouldn't mind that, either.
[Strangling a bastard Heartless was always a good thing in his book, after all. |D]
no subject
I guess it is our experiences that make us who we are.
[She smiles somewhat.] Well...just because you aren't crying, doesn't mean that you haven't been affected. [She smiles as she feels him pat her shoulder and she stares at his ghosts, who appeared to be staring at each other. She turned and saw her parents staring at her.]
They died when I was younger so I hope that they are proud of me.
no subject
[And what she says about her hopes... makes him stare into the apparition's eyes. A faint, honest smile.]
I bet they are.

Thank you.

You're welcome.
