9th Dawn ✯ This will make you ultranumb... [Action/Voice/what have you. T^T]
[The buzz from Christmas was still there, but it had begun wearing off fast when there was one particular presence missing from the bed. When he awoke, realizing that the presence was still gone... the first thing he did was pull out the SFC from the bedside drawer to scroll through the names. In doing so, he found a note on top of it.]
[Xion was gone.]
[...Xion... He held his breath, reading that message. Thanking him? ...He didn't deserve her thanks, not with what he later did to her best friend. It's hard to remember even her name now, huh. ...No, he wouldn't forget; never again.]
[After a moment to compose himself, he went ahead with his original plan. Riku scrolled through the list, searching for Kairi's name not just once, not twice, but a total of six times. Nothing...]
[Just like Xion, one of his closest friends was gone, too. In a dazed state he sat up and closed the drawer; hearing a bit of resistance since his eyes were closed to keep back any moisture. ... Opening his eyes, he checked the drawer again to see what was keeping it from closing: two presents small enough to fit in the palm of his hand, one addressed to him and Sora each.]
[...He decided that it would be best to open his in the living room, since Sora was still asleep. ...Lazybones. T^T]
[Riku took a piece of paper with him, writing a small letter to Kairi. Whether he'd be able to give it to her or not if she ever returned or not, he didn't know, but it was better than nothing.]
Kairi,
I never got to properly thank you, for all that you've done here. Don't know if you'll remember or not by the time you read this, but...
Thank you. For being there when I needed you most- when the darkness was so close to my heart that it was becoming hard to see the truth right there before my eyes. When I let it control me again, before I met another friend who's helping me learn to keep it in line.
...And I'm sorry for being weak- for not saying what I should have while you were here. I-
[-I love you, and Sora both. The only family I have left... is never written. Instead, he clutched the good luck charm Kairi had meant to give him on Christmas and that unfinished letter close as he broke down in tears.]
[OOC: This has been backdated to December 29th. Feel free to bug the emo kid via SFC or action.]
[Xion was gone.]

[But reluctantly, he lowers it to display all those bruises and bite marks. He's got a few scars of his own from his Other, though. The ones he had on his tail had transferred over to his legs when he lost his heart--Sharks, oy vey.]
Huh... I didn't know that.
no subject
Kairi vanished just before Christmas... and Xion apparently left last night.
[He still has the goodbye note on the table.]
no subject
Hey, they're safer back home, right?
[He'll wisely keep his mouth shut regarding the whole Nobody-thing as far as Xion went. He didn't know a thing about her in the Organization, but she wore the coat--She had to have been one of them.]
no subject
Kairi, yes. Xion... I'm not so sure.
[He wore the coat too, genius... and he knew more about her and what she was because they were connected by memories.]
You forgot all about her too, didn't you?
no subject
[Finally, he crawls over the back of the couch to make himself comfortable next to Riku, propping a boot up on the edge of the coffee table.]
She was XIV, wasn't she?
no subject
The fourteenth member, yeah. [He leans back, closing his eyes. How much to divulge and how much to keep to himself.]
Though to those who knew of what she really was from within... she was nothing more than a puppet; less than a Nobody. Except...perhaps to those she knew as friends.
no subject
[A puppet in the Organization? Wow. Maybe Xigbar could shed more light on that...]
So she was like... A replica or something?
no subject
Yeah, but unlike the one Vexen made from my data...
[He sighs. Sometimes he had to wonder... Was it only just Sora's memories, looking back?]
... Xion couldn't copy memories, even though that was what she was made of. That's why we forgot her.
no subject
[He pauses, fidgeting with the drawstrings to his coat.]
Did Vexen made her or something? Or did she just... Show up outta nowhere?
no subject
[He knows how you feel, man. ...Sort of. In a sense. Being possessed does a lot of shit to your brain and human emotions.]
That's my guess, but...
[His voice trails off. ...Huh. That was something he hadn't thought of, before.]

[A hollow chuckle. Painful times, man. Painful times...]

[Or hearts. But that went without saying.]

...Oh? [Consider him interested.] Like what?

no subject
So, how'd you deal with your Other for a week?
no subject
[And suddenly a little too cheerfully;]
Xiggy shoved me off the roof!
no subject
Seriously? That's a little harsh.
no subject
[A sheepish grin.]
I had it coming.
no subject
Yeah, have to agree with that. Though, what did you do for THAT one?
no subject
[WHY YOU LAUGH BRO.]
no subject
We'd tackle each other into the sea, though.
[BECAUSE THE MENTAL IMAGE IS HILARIOUS.]

You guys are weird.
