I take it by now you've all seen his broadcast, and as such... you're probably wondering just what this guy is on. I... suppose now that he's here I can't run from this shadow, even if I wanted to in the first place. He goes by "Ansem," though if I know anything, it isn't his true name and even so... you don't want to get on his radar. Don't even so much as speak to him if you want to remain Whole.

Never thought I'd have to take you up on your offer so soon, but... have any extra room? I doubt this hotel room will be sufficient enough to hide from our new Dark presence.

...Guess I'm not the only one from your pasts that's crept up in the last week. Have any sort of game plans ready?

Yeah, no problem. It's Ordo 6, like I told you.

Come over when you can and I'll get you all settled in.

[He nods faintly; thankfully with only just getting back here... he doesn't have much to pack up.]

I'll be right there, then.

[The feed clicks, and... since he doesn't really know the town that well he has to walk, so expect a knock about ten minutes later. ~~Local had him going the wrong way, dammit.~~]

[ and here he was cleaning up a bit before getting the door. Damned locals. Poor sense of direction. ]

Hey. Come on in.

[ Slight sidestep to let the boy in and gesturing to an open room beside the master bedroom. ]

You can use that room. Treat it like your own.

[Indeed. Note to self: trust another outsiders' directions over the locals.

He nods faintly, entering and seeming to take a look around for a moment before placing his small bag of clothes that he'd picked up with Demyx. When that's done, he turns back to face Luka with a faint smile.]

Thanks, Luka. [But then... that smile is gone.] ...You should know, though... what is bound to happen.

[ And he grows serious in turn. ]

The last time you and Sora got in trouble, I couldn't do a thing to help you.
This time, I'm determined to do something instead of just sit around.

[He leans up against the wall, nodding faintly. So far... Luka's the only one not from his cluster of worlds that he trusts, so this is why he both took him up on the offer and why he's admitting this.]

I take it you saw that broadcast. Creepy man with a horrid tan, sounds like he landed too many jobs as a horrible narrator?

Yeah, I saw him. His prose is a little overly dramatic for my tastes but he might have a following somewhere.

Axel told me that he's not the type you should mess with. I take it you've got experience with him too?

[ Riku, there's a couch nearby. That's gotta be comfier than the wall.

Yes, it's HER couch. Ah well. C'est la vie. ]

It wasn't just prose; it was a warning. [He crosses his arms; a meager attempt to keep himself pulled together. He can't let himself fall apart right now; not when he has to keep it together for everyone else. That, and... he somehow doubts that he'd want to pick up the pieces if he did. ...He's just fine with standing right now.]

Axel's right; he isn't someone you want to mess with. As for me... [A humorless snort.] Let's just say I'm more intimately aware of what he's capable of.

Like I said before, he calls himself Ansem... but that's as much a lie as what he hides behind his rhetoric. In my world, he's perhaps one of the strongest Heartless back when he's from.

[ He considers it'd be better if he didn't ask for now. The kid had enough on his mind to begin with. ]

I can see why you and Axel seem to be freaking out about him showing up.

But I've made up my mind. If there's anything I can do to make sure you guys are okay, just ask.

[Whether or not that was true didn't matter; right now his sole focus was informing Luka so others could be warned before things got out of hand. Nevertheless, he nods.]

Alright. [He pauses, thinking a few things over... and was that a sad smile? After all, the last time he had the King or Sora to help him, but now... he couldn't help but fear what might come to be.]

I have to warn you, though... he'll be after the hearts of others, trying to manipulate them to fall into the same Darkness I did.

Well, if there's one thing I've seen in this city, it's that everyone's pretty tough to chew.

[ Riku may not have Mickey or Sora with him right now but he's got a lot of people willing to help. ]

He sounds like a tough one, this guy. We'll need all the help we can get.

[ And a frown. ]

I can get on the network and warn everyone...

I'll take your word for it until I see for myself. ...Again.

[There's a faint hint of amusement, but he nods regardless. Sheer numbers would be a good thing.]

He just doesn't know when to stay down. And yes, we most likely will.

[A beat.]

We still need to find out if he will try something, especially after how openly he exposed himself. More than likely, he'll try hiding in the shadows again and lure a select few out... if not try to gain more allies.

Warning the others for possible danger would be a wise decision, yes, but be careful about it. For all we know, he could already have gained a few informants.

[ So far, he hasn't involved himself in anyone... dangerous. At least he thinks so. ]

I'm worried about him gathering allies... think he'll go for that doctor who targeted you and Sora the last time?

Most likely. With his track record of luring pawns to join his cause... it's going to hell should they team up with me like this.

[ And he presses his fingertips together. ]

Axel's getting everyone on alert... At least they'll mobilize if we need someone with experience going against this guy.

...I think I should try and bug the doc. See if I can get any information off him.

[Riku tilts his head to the side slightly, but nods.]

I noticed. He thinks lying low until we get everything in order is the best strategy, and I have to agree. With someone like him here, along with other... details we have to be more careful.

['I have to be more careful.' Another nod, but-]

Be careful; I ran into him after you warned me. Could smell that darkness a mile away.

[ He nods, continuing to watch him over his fingertips before getting up. ]

Don't worry. I managed to bug a demon's informant. This guy should be no sweat.

[ He seems confident enough too. ]

Still, if you need a lookout... I have a keen sixth sense.

[Probably already knew the whole lone wolf thing was more that personality, but hey; Riku didn't!]

I think that'd be good.

[ He pauses a second with a slight sigh. ]

Stay as long as you want to, okay, Riku?

Here's hoping things don't get too insane... For everyone's sake.
