[For a while, all that it looks like on the screen is static and... dog slobber? Gross, right? Well, then the audio cuts in to a faint growl of frustration before a pencil eraser is seen. Then- wait, that voice. ...Nah, it couldn't be, could it?]

Ugh, finally.

[There... is a wolf on your SFC screen, Vatheon. Some may recognize the voice, some may not. Either way, he looks a bit relieved that he finally got this thing to work as he collapses back on a couch that's just in view of the camera view.]

Sorry about that. It's... rather hard to work the SFC without hands. [Right. Get the apologies out of the way first, then get to work on recon. ...Heh, who'd have thought.]

Vatheon, I have a question for you but first... I need to explain something.

Yesterday the city decided to grace us with another curse. While it's to be expected, I didn't expect this at all.

Something... [He hesitates, shaking his head in disbelief.] -caused someone I normally consider a friend into someone ruled by their fears. Now, normally I'd try to reason with them myself, but when I did... something happened.

...Does anyone recognize this symbol? [Riku bends his neck down, retrieving something from the floor- a sheet of paper that's a bit covered in a paw print or two, along with a few scratches and cuts from his claws and teeth. But still... he did try to draw the blasted thing from memory with a pen in his mouth/ink on a claw depending on when the pen broke due to the pressure he put on it with his jaws. After ten seconds of holding it, it drops to the floor and he lowers his head, ears folding down. He's... a strange mixture of angered and worried.]

If any of you can tell me anything about it, or that strange, oppressing feeling that came with his presence, I'd appreciate it.

[Kim nearly freezes when she sees the piece of paper. Seeing those eyes brought back some unpleasant memories but she shakes her head just slightly.]

If your friend's ruled by his fears, he's become a Kishin.

A Kishin?

[She pinches the bridge of her nose, sighing a little.]

Kishin are the embodiment of madness in my world. Usually you have to consume innocent souls to become one, but if the curse has made him like this, he's skipped that process entirely. [Kim runs a hand through her hair.] The first one became a Kishin eight hundred years ago, out of the fear of dying. He consumed his own Weapon partner and let himself become enveloped in the madness. Lord Death defeated him by tearing his skin off and stuffing his body into a bag made from it.

I see... [Kishin... madness. Innocent souls... Weapon partner... He's memorizing this even as he records it all, studying the information in his head and doing all he can to make sense of it all. But, being from a different world...]

I'm afraid I'm not familiar of all these terms, not being from your world, but... is there any way to stop him from carrying out his threats to eliminate everyone who so much as looks at him funny?

[Because reasoning really did not work.]

You'll probably have to find someone who's been given a Weapon form and partner them up with someone who's turned into a Meister. Since...our best ones here are currently out of commission. [She sighs a little] The only other suggestion I can make if you don't feel like killing him is keeping him confined for a week.

Great... [Sigh. Could this week get any worse?] I'll look around just in case, but any tips on how to confine him when I'm stuck like...?

[...yeah. Oh crap, almost forgot his manners.] The name's Riku, by the way. Who're you?

You're probably better off asking someone by the name of Maka Albarn about that. She's from my world too, but she's probably read up on things like that. I haven't had a lot of experience with the Kishin back home like she has, I just know what they taught us at the Academy.

[She blinks a little before she nods.] Kim Diehl. [She pauses a little. She usually doesn't say things like this but] I hope it doesn't have to come down to one or the other. For your sake.

Curse or not I'm pissed at him and I have every damn right to be pissed.

You're not the only one pissed at him, Demyx. [Wait. That... sounded a lot more realistic than usual. The hell happened while he was out cold in the 'Nook?] Dare I ask what he did to you?

[See that still-healing burn mark on his hind leg? Yeah, that's what he got for being worried for him. You're not alone in that.]

Still, Axel and I are trying to figure out what he's become. Maybe there's a way to stop him from pulling this shit any longer.

If I would've known I'd get it broken not too long after getting it I would've rather had something else happen to me but... I dunno. Guess it's making up for the time I didn't get last year.

It would have been, but what can you do? This curse is 'uncool' to begin with.

Friend turned Kishin. He's threatening to kill anyone who disagrees with him, almost succeeded twice if it weren't for curfew. Is there any way for someone with paws or fire power to contain him for a week so he doesn't do something stupid?
