Thirteenth ★ [Voice]
Halloween... That time of year already, huh?
[His voice seems to hitch for a brief moment, but otherwise he doesn't really hint at anything else.]
How many of you celebrate it back in your own worlds?
[Locked to Aqua, Demyx, Kairi, Lea]
A lot of those from our Worlds have left recently. I just wanted to say- [He swallows hard.]
If I disappear next, there's a journal in my room. In it are reports on all that's happened both at home and here. Kairi, Aqua... You both especially deserve to know. As does Sora...
[/lock]
[Locked to Jacob, Mami]
Thanks for helping me to see the Light.

She knew he'd been through this before... friends leaving without a word. But there was an underlining of pain in his private words and she found herself speechless. He was frightened and there was nothing she could do to ease the anxiety. She had no way of helping him... this world had a power she could not overcome.
Ven. He could disappear as well. The revelation chilled her to the bone. One of her dearest friends could disappear and there wasn't a damn thing she could do about it.
She lifted the SFC to send a post back to Riku but for the longest time, there was only silence between them.]

He would have to face the thirteenth member, someone he already confirmed for himself as Sora's Nobody here and would more than likely do so again back in their world. It wasn't so much fear as it was... bitter acceptance.
This was the path he'd chosen, and he'd see it through to the end no matter what became of him. Should he perish in the attempt or cease to exist as even a fragment of himself, then it was alright by him. So long as it saved the one who didn't deserve what he'd been through at all. He owed his friend this much after he'd freed him from Xehanort's grasp...somewhat, anyway.
He could hear the whispers growing stronger, could understand them, yet he still held tight to the light as well and its comforting embrace against the coldness of night. Axel didn't deserve to vanish from his 'next life,' and he knew that shortly after he returned... he would be forgetting Xion, too. Time wasn't on his side.]

I know the price of the path I chose to take, what it will mean. Too many are counting on my success for me to fail them. ['And if I don't make it when I return home...']
[Yes, he is very much prepared to die for his friend.]
[voice | private]
Riku. You will not fail. [Her tone was neither harsh nor gentle. She was pulling from a strength within to push away and hide her fears, becoming more the master than mere student. In a way, she was connecting with her fallen master... how he would respond through the wisdom he possessed and faith he had in his students.]
You've accepted that you'll disappear from this world to return to our own... and you know what lies ahead in your path. But don't let your fear take hold of your heart.
[A sigh is heard over the recording and she is silent for a while before speaking up again.]
It's hard. I know that. But it's the fear that will make you question yourself. The fear that will make the shadows grow taller and darker.
Have faith in yourself. Have faith in your light. You will overcome the obstacles blocking your path. Just believe.
I have faith in you.

Her words cause his train of thought to stop, grinding to a halt almost immediately. He was causing her to fear for him, and was hiding it well behind the guise of a teacher. He knew it well; Mickey used it on him countless times. Of course, his voice was much more squeaky than Aqua's...]
It isn't so much fear as... [He hesitates, never really good at expressing what was on his heart ever since that night.] ...regret.
If anything goes wrong... I'll never be able to make amends for what I've done.
[His voice trails off there, and the silence is almost stifling on his end. All these disappearances reminded him of what he'll have to face when he too joins their ranks. Knowing his own fate, knowing he won't remember this outside whatever remnants of the memories remained in his heart...]
...Thank you, Aqua. Your kindness is more than I deserve.
['I was stupid. So, so stupid...']
[voice | private]
[Terra pushed forward. Even when things were bleak and everything went wrong, he always pushed himself to the limit... never giving up and always determined to reach the end. And then, he would go beyond what was asked of him...
Riku was very much the same way.]
You don't need to thank me. All you need to do is believe in yourself. And I will be here for you...
['Every step of the way. No matter what happens.']
[voice | private]
He already made too many mistakes, and with two returning to their deaths... he couldn't be happy for them, nor for his inevitable return home.]
... I know, but in this case- [He can't finish the sentence, instead briefly turning on the video feed to show the photograph in a journal- ...Sora, fast asleep in a sort of pod with a peaceful look on his face.] ...Everything already went wrong.
[The feed flickers back to black, and it's obvious with the 'calming' breath that he's trying not to let her see all of his pain. He... He shouldn't have had six extra months to focus on this when he already had almost eleven back home. Knowing that while he's here, like this... his best friend is still asleep and the Organization is winning... The fact that he became friends with three of the members here didn't matter; what matters is that Xemnas still needed to be stopped, and even if the giant Pause button was pressed on his life-
'Giving up already?'
He freezes, literally freezes. T-that voice... He only heard it in his memories before, and now-
'Come on, Riku. We both know you're stronger than this.']
... You're right. [Whether it's at Aqua, or the Voice... even he doesn't know.] Guess even after I earned my Keyblade, I still can't be very hopeful with this shadow still inside me.
