[The feed clicks to life, and when it does, it's only his lips that are visible in view--everything else is cast in shadow, a mere silhouette. It doesn't give a thing away about his present location other than just how dark it is in there, like he'd waited for the opportune moment to even begin to say something. Then again, he would probably still be silent had it not been for this confrontation.]

Hey. Hope I didn't miss too much while out of it. Though, a certain fox seems to have grown quiet...

[For most it cuts there, but for those from his universe... there's a heavy sigh as Riku sets a lock; 80% unhackable.]

... I know some of you don't agree with some of the decisions I've made lately. I'm not going to explain why I've done it, because it'll more than likely fall on deaf ears. Like I said to Aqua, I helped Vanitas take care of Ven this far because I believed that it was the right thing to do. After all, I promised two people to help keep him safe... and I've done just that.

[There's a pause as he closes his eyes, the rest of his face cast in shadow under the hood he's wearing. He's kept this in for so long that now it's finally bursting to the surface. In fact, it's probably a miracle he lasted this long without exploding again.]

Now I promised Ven to pass this on: he's getting better; almost able to walk on his own without walking dazedly into objects. It should only be a few more days before he's well enough to come out. Though... he might still be a bit out of it when he does.

If I'm to be painted the villain again for standing by someone who's helped me, then so be it.

[Then the feed fades out, before being reset to Sora and Kairi only.]

I'm sorry I've been gone for so long... Just a few more days, and I'll be back. I promise.

[The feed ends entirely.]

[Riku sighs, lowering the hood and pinching his nose in irritation. The dizzy spells were annoying as hell and that was the main reason he'd had the hood up while broadcasting. Now... what to do.]

Wonder how long the hatred and prejudice will last.

[From the looks of things on her end Kairi has kept your things neat. She's actually sitting on your bed, having been doing so for the past few days. If you only knew how much she missed you from when you just disappeared...] ...I know you will, Riku....just...please be safe. [The voice is small though--she knows Ri is doing all that he can and she's there for him...although at the moment she can't help but still be worried for all that's gone on...]

Kairi... [He gets that feeling so very much right now, but before he says much of anything he locks the feed to her, but gives the chance for Sora to sneak in and listen if he isn't nearby already. No doubt the other third of the trio's been confused lately. Kairi, you don't know just how much he wants to hug you right now... but can't until everything's right again.]

I'm the safest I can be right now. [He gives her a faint smile, pulling down his hood so she can see his face. He hasn't been getting much sleep lately, keeping watch while Ven and Vanitas were passed out and helping with remodeling the warehouse. Still, he manages just the faintest of smiles as he drops his voice so it wouldn't be heard by the other two occupants of this place.] Sorry I didn't speak up earlier. The call for help came out of the blue and when I arrived, it became apparent I wouldn't be able to leave for a while.

...Especially with how Aqua's taking this.

[She's still frowning though, the look of concern in her eyes so visible, but...she gives him a tiny smile, trying to be reassuring that she isn't hurting inside because of how everyone is acting towards at the moment] That's okay, Riku. I...completely understand. I really do. Your heart told you...and...sometimes we are late for things. [Remember? She wasn't fast enough to catch Sora when he fell into the little sparklies of light so long ago...] Don't ever forget that everything is going to get better. [When he lowers his voice she does too] I hope you've been eating though...

[A pause] She...[bites lip] But both of them are okay, aren't they?

[Don't hurt for him, Kairi. He knew exactly what he was in for when his stance on the darkness not inside him, but otherwise, was brought to light. He's strong enough to endure it, and soon he'll rise from the ashes of the burned bridges. Whether he regained the trusts he lost or not, he'll take what he can.] I won't forget; how can I when I know you're both counting on me? [He wasn't exactly there, but he could never forget that day. None of it. It would haunt him for the rest of his life...] I have been.

[He gives her the look; the one she knows is a bit of a warning sign yet also a "I know better than most," glance before it softens as he glances away, to the door of the room the two are occupying at the present time.]

Yeah; they're both recovering faster than we anticipated. Maybe because this time Ven didn't lose his memories.

[She's still going to, a little bit, until he returns home safe and sound...but she'll be okay from this point on. She wishes she could hug him tightly though--that will be for when he gets back] You don't. You don't ever forget.

[Her mind has so many questions she wants to ask but she catches his look and nods. While she is worried Kairi knows better than to consistently question. But now...that sounds...okay.] Well...that's really good that he didn't lose them...but...are you...[she lowers her voice] Is there anything I can do to help you when you come back..?

[And it won't be too much longer. Until then, he'll smile and pretend that he's alright. ...He has a lot of thinking to do when he does come back home.] I never will.

[He says it as though it's a promise, nodding back before looking to her face on the screen once more.] I'm alright, Kairi. I... I just miss you both.
