[The feed clicks to life, and when it does, it's only his lips that are visible in view--everything else is cast in shadow, a mere silhouette. It doesn't give a thing away about his present location other than just how dark it is in there, like he'd waited for the opportune moment to even begin to say something. Then again, he would probably still be silent had it not been for this confrontation.]

Hey. Hope I didn't miss too much while out of it. Though, a certain fox seems to have grown quiet...

[For most it cuts there, but for those from his universe... there's a heavy sigh as Riku sets a lock; 80% unhackable.]

... I know some of you don't agree with some of the decisions I've made lately. I'm not going to explain why I've done it, because it'll more than likely fall on deaf ears. Like I said to Aqua, I helped Vanitas take care of Ven this far because I believed that it was the right thing to do. After all, I promised two people to help keep him safe... and I've done just that.

[There's a pause as he closes his eyes, the rest of his face cast in shadow under the hood he's wearing. He's kept this in for so long that now it's finally bursting to the surface. In fact, it's probably a miracle he lasted this long without exploding again.]

Now I promised Ven to pass this on: he's getting better; almost able to walk on his own without walking dazedly into objects. It should only be a few more days before he's well enough to come out. Though... he might still be a bit out of it when he does.

If I'm to be painted the villain again for standing by someone who's helped me, then so be it.

[Then the feed fades out, before being reset to Sora and Kairi only.]

I'm sorry I've been gone for so long... Just a few more days, and I'll be back. I promise.

[The feed ends entirely.]

[Riku sighs, lowering the hood and pinching his nose in irritation. The dizzy spells were annoying as hell and that was the main reason he'd had the hood up while broadcasting. Now... what to do.]

Wonder how long the hatred and prejudice will last.

Enjin's gone home, actually. Perhaps we can finally get some peace and quiet.

[His expression is carefully neutral as he says this. His lilac eyes are focused more on something off-screen, and it doesn't look like he's very happy with what he sees.]

I'm sure you recall the time I was in Enjin's possession. The reason he had me was because he had Aziraphale. Long story short, he made him see something that's breaking him even now.

[He might as well say it all.]

Aziraphale and a good friend of mine were a couple while my friend was in Vatheon. He's gone home, but Enjin made Aziraphale think something happened to his boyfriend, one Sanae Hanekoma, affectionately called Mr. H.

[At this, the teen holds up the note Enjin had left for him, allowing Riku to read it. "Have fun fixing the angel, J."]

... Yes. I'm sure that even the most evil person do have their reasons. It's just really sad that they have to resort to darker methods just to achieve what they want or satisfy themselves.

I wanted to try and help him. I just wanted to try to wake him. But I guess it's just out of my reach in the end. [as time ran out for Enjin...]

Maybe someone from his world can do it. All I can do is hope for the best.

Kairi... [He gets that feeling so very much right now, but before he says much of anything he locks the feed to her, but gives the chance for Sora to sneak in and listen if he isn't nearby already. No doubt the other third of the trio's been confused lately. Kairi, you don't know just how much he wants to hug you right now... but can't until everything's right again.]

I'm the safest I can be right now. [He gives her a faint smile, pulling down his hood so she can see his face. He hasn't been getting much sleep lately, keeping watch while Ven and Vanitas were passed out and helping with remodeling the warehouse. Still, he manages just the faintest of smiles as he drops his voice so it wouldn't be heard by the other two occupants of this place.] Sorry I didn't speak up earlier. The call for help came out of the blue and when I arrived, it became apparent I wouldn't be able to leave for a while.

...Especially with how Aqua's taking this.

I'm the last person who can damn anybody for switching sides for a good reason. I still don't trust Vanitas a fraction of the distance I could theoretically throw him, but what you think of him is your own prerogative.

[He can't bring himself to say, "Anyway, I still kind of owe you my life, so I've still got your back," but the sentiment is sort of supposed to be there.]

And I don't blame you. He's the last person I would have expected to help, much less become friends with. [Hello there, issues with the darkness and those who lurk inside it... but at least he's gotten over that prejudice for the most part. So far all he's done is help Ven heal though, I doubt most of the others would believe it.

[He knows, Axel; he can sense it and appreciates it more than you'll ever know.] Guess we're in the same boat when it comes to that.

I'd still like to kick him in the mouth, not gonna lie, but... well, maybe I'd do it without shoes on. You know, since he was helpful in the aftermath.

[There's a little grin then, and he taps two fingers against the left side of his chest.] Don't need a heart to make good on a debt, right? [Antihero though he may be, Axel never forgets a favor.]

I think a lot of people would be, since he's gone now. [A faint shrug, but his expression remains somber.] ...I don't know the details, but one of them is taking whatever the fox did to him rather hard.

That's all I ever asked in the first place. [He doesn't meet Terra's gaze; not yet. Even with his attempts... he still feels like a failure, and that look on the screen is like a knife.]
