[What am I supposed to do now?
He doesn't know when his perpetual black faded into sleep, nor when he fell back on his bed--or when he got soaked for that matter. What he did know was that when he awakened... he was soaked, and could smell saltwater. Not to mention he was on the ground somewhere.] What...?
[Riku opens his eyes beneath the blindfold, regretting it a moment when the salt water began to make them sting. What he can subtly make out behind the cloth was that he was in a city of sorts, a few Hearts and shadow figures-meaning whole individuals-passing by... and was that a coral split into two? He shook his head, getting to his feet. Maybe it was time to get some answers, as well as dry off.
His hand immediately finds the SFC and after studying it along with drying off/out his blindfold and himself to the best of his ability if the towel over his head is anything to go by... he decides to make his presence known. The feed clicks.]
...Vatheon, huh. I don't suppose anyone would have any ideas as to why we are in the first place?
[Of course, the local who gave him a towel and a hair dryer for his blindfold had said nothing about why he was here. Rather, they changed the subject rather quickly. It irritated him, yes, but maybe someone else had the answers he desired.
Anyone wandering the plaza could quite well find him donning the black coat synonymous with the Organization and eyes hidden by a black blindfold to match, leaning against the wall of one of the many stores, examining the SFC and its functions as he gained his bearings.]

[A beat.]
But we should probably get you another change of clothes or something.
no subject
[A faint frown, though. You're not getting him to take off the blindfold; already scared said local when he was drying it out.]
...Fair enough.
no subject
[He starts heading off in the direction of a shop--His favorite one that has really bad hawaiian shirts in it on top of that, glancing over his shoulder.]
I'd dry you off myself but I'm not really feeling it right now if it's alright with you.
no subject
[No ugly as hell Hawaiian shirts for him, thanks, Atlantica boy. But... at least he's following.]
It's fine. [Because yeah... he kind of missed the scent of saltwater; it reminds him of home.]
no subject
[At least he can make them look like good shirts, Island boy. He'll even hold open the door.]
Gotcha. I should probably stop wearing these coats so often. I'm... Well, I'm not working anymore, so there's not really much of a point except for easier transportation and stuff.
no subject
[Why, thank you. Not that he isn't still a bit wary.... comes with so many of your pals trying to kill him. He nods faintly at that, though; an amused smirk crossing his lips.]
Guess I still have a reason to wear this, then. [After all... he has a heart. It protects him from the darkness he uses.]
no subject
[C'mon, man! Lousy fighter, remember? And it's not like he's Xaldin or Saix.]
Changing rooms are over in the back, uhh... Oh, yeah! It's all free, so don't worry about munny.
no subject
[It wasn't the Heartless he had been running away from... and okay, guard is dropped a little bit, but mainly for this one reason- Pulling up his blindfold juuust a tad. Was that a joke?]
...Seriously?
no subject
[Is this the face of a Nobody that would lie to you? He's already flipping through a couple longsleeves.]
Just trust me on this one. The only thing that costs any 'munny' is the stuff over in that Nostalgia place and I guess the Carnival now. Not like I'm going back there any time soon... I come here a lot on top of that. Most of my pants that I've got back at my place came from here.
no subject
...Noted. And I can see why you like this place. [So much tropical... Ugh, shut up, homesickness.]

Can't blame a guy for going a little crazy with colorful clothing after being stuck in the same ol' outfit for years on end. [Fwip, snagging a pair of obnoxiously shiny silver jeans off the rack to check the size. Awesome, it'll fit and make him stick out like a sore thumb!]
Housing is free, too.
no subject
Not really- [...what the.] Heh. Though with what you're picking out, I can't say I blame the Organization for having a uniform.
[Amused smirk as he picks out a pair of black pants and a yellow shirt. ...What? It's his favorite color.]
Imagine that. Is it compensation for being stuck here?
no subject
[Hey Riku, heads up--Gaudy pink hawaiian shirt incoming at 3 o'clock with a teasing smirk.]
Probably.
no subject
[He can't really tell too well with a blindfold on, man. With a sigh, he exchanges the black pants for jeans. ...huh. A bit baggy, but he didn't mind that. So, have a shrug.] I've been in black for so long... and yellow's my favorite.
At least it wasn't school bus yellow. [Oh, would that have been horrible.]
no subject
[He starts to fiddle with the drawstrings to his coat, eventually just sitting down to play with the bottom zipper.]
Black for years. I'd wear casual clothes or the local ones when I'd go out on recon to blend in or on the rare day off, but... I feel naked without having this coat around. Stupid, huh?
no subject
[He raises an eyebrow, but doesn't say anything...shedding his coat to reveal a few fresher wounds he wasn't really able to cover up. At least someone had seemed fit to give fresh bandages.]
Not really; it almost becomes a second skin at times, if you think about it.
no subject
[He shrugs, frowning slightly at the sight of the wounds.]
What're those from?
no subject
[He shrugs back, far too used to it for his own good.]
...And originally it was to hide myself from the Organization since they were after me, but as the days went by it was to make sure Sora slept in peace.
no subject
If it makes you feel any better I'm not exactly with the Organization anymore. I was killed about six months ago by Sora.
no subject
[...A bunch of conflicting emotions on hearing that, Demyx. On one hand, he's glad you're not with them and that Sora really DOES wake up, but on the other... meeting you and getting to see you're a pretty chill guy most of the time and hearing you're dead in the outside world... Ouch.]
...He has the habit of acting before he thinks.
no subject
[He's 'feeling' pretty conflicted about it too, man. He and Sora were buddies after all! At least here in Vatheon they were.]
"I bet you can't even fight," he said. I say to him, "You shouldn't judge anyone by appearance," and him and his weirdo buddies drew their weapons on me--That isn't right! I mean, I didn't say anything wrong did I?
[It feels funny having to explain this again, but at the same time it's kind of... Nice?]
no subject
[Probably because it was away from the prejudices, man. When Demyx explains, however... he sighs quietly to himself, lightly pinching his nose.]
... At least you were better than me.

I told him once that the dark would destroy him, and do you know what he said? "The darkness may destroy my body, but it can't touch my heart." I was twisted by malice, so my response was: "Really. Well, we'll just see about that."
[He shakes his head, disappointed in himself.] Learned that lesson the hard way.
