[Riku opens his eyes beneath the blindfold, regretting it a moment when the salt water began to make them sting. What he can subtly make out behind the cloth was that he was in a city of sorts, a few Hearts and shadow figures-meaning whole individuals-passing by... and was that a coral split into two? He shook his head, getting to his feet. Maybe it was time to get some answers, as well as dry off.

His hand immediately finds the SFC and after studying it along with drying off/out his blindfold and himself to the best of his ability if the towel over his head is anything to go by... he decides to make his presence known. The feed clicks.]

...Vatheon, huh. I don't suppose anyone would have any ideas as to why we are in the first place?

[Of course, the local who gave him a towel and a hair dryer for his blindfold had said nothing about why he was here. Rather, they changed the subject rather quickly. It irritated him, yes, but maybe someone else had the answers he desired.

Anyone wandering the plaza could quite well find him donning the black coat synonymous with the Organization and eyes hidden by a black blindfold to match, leaning against the wall of one of the many stores, examining the SFC and its functions as he gained his bearings.]

[Thank you, subtle subject change. He... actually gives a faint, dry chuckle at that. Whoo boy, this one would be fun.]

That's a common misconception. The Heartless are darkness made real, usually made of the remains of a heart that has either been crushed by the weight of a person's negativity or had been stolen away by another Heartless. They're called Heartless because they act in a matter that is cold and ruthless; devoid of any emotion.

[...The way he says it, though, implies much more than he lets on.]

Fascinating. The only thing that could potentially come close to that in my world would be the Noise. They're basically negativity made into animal form, and can disrupt the thoughts of many people.

[And that's all Riku's getting, for now. Maybe if he asks nicely Joshua will tell him more.]

Somehow, I see there's more to this story.

Noise? [He listened quietly, practically absorbing that information. It had always fascinated him to hear of other worlds, and hearing similarities made it all the more intriguing.] Disrupt... Is that all they can do?

[He's honestly curious, both as a Keyblade candidate and for knowledge's sake. Though, with what Joshua says... he gives a faint chuckle.]

Perhaps. [There's a faint smirk crossing his lips, but it fades shortly thereafter.] Perhaps not. Depends on how willing you are to delve deep into it.
